Multiple Clayhill residents have reported missing parcels over the past two weeks, raising concerns about security and storage at the accommodation site.
At least four students say items marked “delivered” by couriers never appeared in the reception collection area.
“I was waiting on a £60 ASOS order and the app said it had been delivered,” said Jade Ghani, a second-year media student.
“But when I went down to get it, no one could find it — and reception said it wasn’t logged.”
Her flatmate, Tia Arora, said a similar thing happened with a phone charger delivered by Amazon.
Reception staff at Clayhill advise students to “contact the courier directly,” but many say the problem lies in how parcels are processed once they arrive.
“I’m careful now,” said Alex Fenner, a third-year criminology student.
“If it’s anything valuable, I just get it delivered to my friend in town.”
A sign at reception currently advises students that “items are stored at your own risk” and suggests collecting parcels “as soon as possible.”
Kingston University said it is “aware of a small number of recent complaints” and is reviewing parcel handling procedures at its accommodation sites.
The issue has led some students to switch to using Amazon lockers or click-and-collect to avoid further losses.
No formal investigation is under way, and reception has not confirmed whether any CCTV footage has been reviewed.
